The L2B bomber jacket was created in the 1950s as part of U.S. Air Force equipment, designed for pilots operating in milder climates.
It was a lightweight variation of the previous L2A model and was designed to offer protection against wind and rain without being too warm. The L2B was initially produced in a characteristic steel blue color, but in the 1960s it was changed to sage green to better suit the camouflage needs of military operations.
As with the better-known MA-1, the L2B featured a bright orange lining, designed to make pilots easily identifiable in case of an emergency. The jacket’s design was functional and practical: the collar, cuffs, and waist were elasticized to retain heat, while the characteristic pocket on the left sleeve, known as a utility pocket, provided space for small tools.
With a short fit and no padding, the L2B was ideal for cockpits and for temperatures between 10 °C and 25 °C.

Condition: in excellent condition, with minor imperfections on the collar and cuffs.
Recommended size: the label indicates size "Large," but it actually fits more like a Medium (M).
