Vintage US Army OG-507 Fatigue Pants

Original OG 507 fatigue trousers, issued to the US Army between the mid-70s and early 80s. They succeeded the earlier OG-107s, introducing a durable press polyester-cotton blend fabric and a zip fly instead of buttons—a change intended to reduce field maintenance, from Vietnam to the Cold War.

Each piece we sell is original vintage, not a reproduction: the inner labels still bear the "Trousers, Utility, Durable Press, OG-507" wording with the Defense Logistics Agency contract number and manufacturer's name—several manufacturers were involved throughout production (including Coastal Industries and Glenn Berry Mfrs), so the contract number and manufacturer may vary from one garment to another. The zippers also vary depending on the piece: you may find historic brands such as Scovill, Talon, or General, all authentic to the era. The cut is straight and high-waisted, with two front patch pockets and two back pockets with buttoned flaps.

Often confused with one another: the OG-107s (1952-1975) featured cotton sateen and buttons; the OG-507s introduced polyester-cotton and zippers, with a slightly slimmer leg.

US military sizing (W/L) often follows a different logic than civilian sizing: for this reason, we provide exact measurements in cm for each piece taken while laid flat—waist, length, leg opening, and inseam—so you can choose the right size without surprises. As these are original vintage garments, each piece is unique: labels, zippers, and small construction details vary from one example to another, and it is normal to find slight signs of wear or minor imperfections consistent with the age of the item.
