In 1973, the U.S. Army introduced the OG 507 service uniform, made from a polyester and cotton blend.
These new uniforms marked a significant shift from previous materials, featuring a distinctive "durable press" appearance.
Washable and easier to maintain, they were identifiable by large yellow tags and featured a zipper closure instead of buttons. They remained in use, alongside the OG-107s, until the introduction of the BDU camouflage uniforms in 1981.
The OG-507s had a dark green and khaki color, similar to the OG-107s.
Material: 50% cotton and 50% polyester.
