In 1973, the U.S. Army adopted the OG 507 uniform, made of polyester and cotton. This was a significant change from previous materials, with a unique "durable print."
Washable and easier to maintain, these uniforms had yellow labels and zipper closures. They remained in use until the arrival of the BDU camouflage uniforms in 1981, and were the same dark green and khaki color as the OG-107.
The OG-507 like the previous OG-107 featured a dark green and khaki color.
