Original lightweight jacket issued to the US Air Force between the 1960s and 1980s, known as "AF Shade 1157" after the official navy blue color of the US Air Force.
Short, boxy fit, designed to be worn over a uniform or as a lightweight layer in spring and summer. Front zip closure — different brands were used throughout production (Scovill, Talon, General, Serval), so zippers and various details may vary slightly from piece to piece, as does the manufacturer: labels we see most often include Blauer and Bendone New York.
Each piece may show slight signs of wear or small imperfections consistent with the age of the garment.
US military sizing follows a different logic than civilian sizing: for this reason, we provide exact measurements in cm for each piece taken with the garment laid flat — chest (pit to pit), length, shoulders, and sleeve — so you can choose the right size without any surprises.
