The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) was founded in 1910 by a group of leaders including William Boyce, inspired by the Scouting movement created in England in 1907 by Robert Baden-Powell.
The organization was founded with the goal of educating young people about citizenship, community service, and physical fitness.
In 1911, the Scouting movement spread rapidly across the United States, gaining popularity for its educational program and activities such as camping and merit badges. Over the decades, the BSA expanded nationwide, becoming a symbol of character building.
