Storia:

Introdotta in Francia nel XIX secolo, la giacca da lavoro divenne subito l'abbigliamento più diffuso tra i professionisti. Il colore blu, utilizzato dai tessitori francesi per celare strappi e macchie, era popolare tra agricoltori, artigiani, lavoratori automobilistici e ferrovieri.

I falegnami preferivano il colore nero. Le bleu de travail sono caratterizzate, in alcuni casi, dal tipico cotone hbt. Negli anni '50, queste giacche tornarono in voga, diventando elementi iconici nel panorama della moda vintage.
