French Work Jacket Extra Savo, dating back to the 1960s/70s. The jacket is in excellent condition. Classic fit with 5 buttons and 3 reinforced pockets.
Made in France.
History:
The work jacket originated in France in the 19th century, quickly becoming the preferred garment for many professions. The classic blue color, adopted by French weavers, served to hide rips and stains, making it ideal for farmers, artisans, auto workers, and railroad workers. Carpenters, however, favored black. In the 1950s, these jackets returned to fashion, becoming iconic pieces in the world of vintage clothing.
