Vintage French work jacket Le Meilleure D'amiens from the 60s.
Made in France.
In excellent condition with a beautiful faded color from the passing of the years.
History:
The work jacket originated in France in the 19th century and quickly became the most popular garment for various professions. The distinctive blue color, used by French weavers, served to hide tears and stains, making it perfect for farmers, craftsmen, auto workers and railway workers. Carpenters, on the other hand, preferred the color black.
A distinctive feature of some bleu de travail is the use of hbt cotton.
In the 1950s, these jackets made a comeback, becoming iconic pieces in the world of vintage fashion.
