The guayabera, also known as Camisa de Yucatán, is a traditional garment that is widely worn in hot, humid climates, and is especially popular in Hispanic communities throughout Mexico, the Caribbean, Central and South America.
This shirt is distinguished by its characteristic pleats, also known as alforza, nervature or smoking, which adorn both the front and the back, giving it a unique elegance. Usually, it has two pleats on the front and three on the back, often enriched with elaborate embroidery that further enhances its beauty.
