The OG-107 was the standard issue uniform of the US Army introduced in 1952 and used until the 1980s. Its name comes from the color "Olive Green 107", a dark green practical for military operations. These uniforms were made of durable cotton, designed to be functional and lightweight, becoming a symbol of the post-war era and the conflict in Vietnam.

In addition to the cotton version, there were specific wool variants, like this one, designed for colder climates. These garments provided superior thermal insulation and were used in situations where protection from the cold was essential, such as during the Korean War or in mountain operations. Wool was mainly integrated into overcoats and linings, adding versatility to the OG-107.
