The introduction of the OG 507 uniforms in 1973 was a significant moment for the U.S. Army. Made from a blend of polyester and cotton, these uniforms offered a "durable print" that set them apart from previous materials.
Easy to wash and maintain, they were marked with yellow labels and featured a zipper closure.
They remained the standard until the introduction of the BDU camouflage uniforms in 1981, sharing the dark green and khaki color scheme with the OG-107.
The OG-507 like the previous OG-107 featured a dark green and khaki color.
