When Samuel Ehrenreich opened the Riverside store in 1918, it was a simple workwear and haberdashery shop. In 1935, the store was incorporated and given a new name: Riverside Men's Quality Shop, Inc.

Just five years later, in 1940, a fire destroyed the building and nearly forced the family out of business. Samuel's son, David Ehrenreich, co-owner of the store with his brother Raymond, traveled to Philadelphia to meet Joe Daroff, the store's biggest salesman. Three days later, the new merchandise was being sold across the street on pipe racks and the store was back in business for good.

The Ehrenreich family has never looked back, only forward, and the store has been a cornerstone of the Buffalo-Niagara retail community ever since. Built on strong values of honesty, integrity and trust, Riverside Men's Shop has thrived through a continued commitment to quality and customer service.

Wool products are best hand washed. Machine wash at your own risk.

Please note that the items we offer have been used before and some are more fragile (depending on age and condition). Always keep this in mind before washing.

Our selection criteria for vintage garments include authenticity, quality, style and condition. We look for pieces that are authentic and original from past eras, without compromise. We carefully evaluate the quality of the material and details, looking for pieces that are well-preserved and without significant defects. Style is another important criterion: we look for pieces that are relevant and desirable today, but also have an authentic connection to the past.
Our vintage pieces are selected through a rigorous and careful process. We work with industry experts and hand-pick each piece to ensure authenticity and quality. We travel to various locations in search of the finest vintage pieces, chosen for their unique style, condition and relevance to vintage fashion.
The vintage sector is not just a matter of fashion, but a real in-depth study of history, materials and past trends. Each piece has a story to tell, an era to represent, and recognizing the authenticity, quality and value of these pieces requires in-depth knowledge. We invest time and dedication in the study of production techniques, fabrics and the unique characteristics of each decade.
