Wrangler History:
Wrangler's history began in 1947, when Blue Bell, an established workwear company, acquired the Hudson Overall Company. With the purchase, Blue Bell launched the Wrangler brand with the goal of creating clothing specifically designed for cowboys and farm workers.
To develop the first pair of Wrangler jeans, Blue Bell collaborated with Rodeo Ben, a famous rodeo tailor. Introduced in 1947, Wrangler jeans featured seven belt loops, a full-length zipper, and reinforced back pockets, making them ideal for cowboys. In the 1950s, the brand quickly established itself as one of the most recognized in the United States.
In 1974, Wrangler jeans received official certification from the Pro Rodeo Cowboy Association, further cementing their status in the rodeo world. Throughout the 2000s, Wrangler expanded its product line to include casual and outdoor apparel, while still maintaining a strong connection to its workwear heritage.
