The work jacket was born in France in the 19th century, quickly becoming the most popular garment among workers in every sector.
The distinctive blue color was chosen by French weavers to hide tears and stains, and was commonly worn by farmers, artisans, automobile workers, and railroad workers. Carpenters, on the other hand, preferred black.
A distinctive element of the bleu de travail is the typical hbt (herringbone twill) cotton weave, present in some garments.
In the 1950s, work jackets came back into fashion, becoming icons in the world of vintage clothing.
Blue work dress 100% HBT cotton, produced in the 70s.
Small paint stains present on the lower part.
